Foodie Friday: Honey Mustard Chicken Tenders

There’s no denying that many people are thinking about food this weekend. Particularly, chocolate. Well, I’m going to be part of the minority and talk about something else: Honey Mustard Chicken Tenders. Get your chocolate fix on Monday when all of it is 50-75% off. 😉

I reminisce on the few times I enjoyed honey mustard chicken wings in Buffalo at this wonderful place called Raymondo’s.  They were made like buffalo wings (of course) but with a sweet but slightly tart honey mustard glaze on top. I wish they could deliver all the way here in Philly. They were THAT good.

I’ve kind of been on this chicken fix since this past Sunday at a Superbowl party. The hosts barbecued some chicken on the grill and baked a pan of sweet and sour chicken with a little spice. I noticed that the ingredients were simple. So I researched a bit on Pinterest and found lots of “3-ingredient” recipes. Thus, this honey mustard chicken recipe was found on Cooking With Cakes.


These are a lot less messy than Raymondo’s wings but I’m sure the flavor intensity is there. The recipe can easily be for tenders or wings. I love the spin of using pretzels as the “crunch” for the chicken. Yum. 🙂 And the best part – these are only made with three ingredients!
